Cayla Bellamy

Cayla Bellamy is an accomplished bassoonist and music educator with extensive experience in both performance and academia. Currently serving as a bassoonist for the Colorado Bach Ensemble and Communications Coordinator for the International Double Reed Society, Cayla also holds the position of Assistant Professor at Colorado State University, teaching applied bassoon lessons and conducting various music courses. Previous roles include co-founding the Kairos Trio at the University of Northern Iowa, where Cayla worked to diversify the chamber repertoire, and contributions as a contrabassoonist for the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony. With a Doctor of Music degree in Bassoon Performance and Literature from Indiana University Bloomington, Cayla has also held teaching and administrative positions at various institutions, contributing to community engagement in music education.
