Karen Sumner

Karen Sumner is the Chief Advancement Officer at Colorado Ballet. Karen has over 17 years of experience in the field of development and fundraising, previously holding senior positions at New York City Ballet, The Menil Collection, and Blanton Museum of Art. Prior to their work in the arts, Karen served as the VP of Institutional Advancement for the Honolulu Symphony. Karen began their career in fundraising at Mid-Pacific Institute in 1998.

Karen Sumner has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Trinity University.

Their manager is Ashley Harkrader, Senior Director of Development. They are on a team with Michael Williams - Development Manager, Allie Coppeak - Senior Philanthropy Officer, and Caitlin Stokes - Assistant Director of Institutional Giving.
