Chief of Staff at Colorado Mesa University

Liz Howell has been working in higher education for over ten years. Liz started their career at Colorado Mesa University in 2007 as an office manager. In 2009, they transitioned to Eagle Materials, where they worked as the payroll, benefits, and HR coordinator. In 2012, Liz returned to Colorado Mesa University to work as a financial literacy counselor and professional assistant to the vice president for student services. In July 2019, Liz was promoted to director of student support operations. In July 2020, Liz became the chief of staff at Colorado Mesa University.

Liz Howell began their educational career by studying organizational leadership and business at the University of Wyoming. Liz then went on to study administrative office technology at Mesa State College. After that, they pursued a master's degree in education at Colorado Mesa University. Lastly, they attended the CiviCo Leadership Academy.
