Chief of Staff at Colorado State University

Dr. Albert Bimper serves as the Interim Chief of Staff of the University and Associate Dean in the College of Liberal Arts. In the role of interim chief of staff, Dr. Bimper serves as the interface with Interim President Miranda and executive and senior leadership as well as many key internal and external stakeholders to the institution. He is tasked with managing high-priority projects and programs designed to support institutional goals and achieve the University’s mission and strategic vision across multiple divisions. Dr. Bimper completed his Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction with a concentration in Cultural Studies in Education at the University of Texas at Austin. He holds a M.S. in Health & Kinesiology from Purdue University and a B.S. in Health & Exercise Science from Colorado State University. Dr. Bimper’s administrative experience spans several areas including academic affairs, intercollegiate athletics, student affairs, and as director of multiple academic programs. While attending CSU, he was a four-year starter as a student-athlete and helped lead his Rams teams to three bowl games in his career. He played in 39 games and started 37, earning All-Mountain West recognitions and went on to become a part of the Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts in 2006.
