Stephan Weiler

Stephan Weiler serves as the Founding Director of the Regional Economic Development Institute at Colorado State University, where Stephan has held various roles since 1996, including Professor of Economics and William E. Morgan Endowed Chair. Additional positions include Research Associate Dean and Research Director for the Colorado Innovation Report. Stephan Weiler was an Honorary Professor at the University of Birmingham from January 2019 to January 2020 and served as Distinguished Research Chair for the US-UK Fulbright Commission from 2018 to 2019. Previous experience includes founding Research Director at the Colorado Innovation Network and Assistant Vice President and Economist at the Federal Reserve System. Educational credentials comprise a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and both an MA in Applied Economics and a BA (Honors) in Economics from Stanford University.
