Deidra Smith

Deidra Smith has a wealth of experience in the field of program management and case management. Deidra began their career in 2012 as an Aztec Scholar Initiative Student Assistant and Women's Basketball Player at San Diego State University. In 2016, they became a Case Manager at ACCESS, Inc. where they maintained communication with 80% of their client caseload. In 2017, they took on a dual role as a Case Manager and Case Manager II at Second Chance, where they read and understood awarded contracts and managed multiple events to give clients an opportunity to explore growth sectors in San Diego County. In 2018, they were a Program Administrator at Project PAINT, providing administrative support to ensure quality of program execution. In 2020, they became a Program Specialist II at San Diego Workforce Partnership, responsible for coordinating the Southeastern San Diego Live Well Career Training Program. Most recently, in 2021, they took on the role of Program Manager at Youth With Faces, delivering five events across two campuses serving over 100 people each event and building collaborative relationships with Dallas County Juvenile Justice Department. In 2022, they became Manager, Tech Talent Denver at Colorado Technology Association.

Deidra Smith attended San Diego State University from 2012 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Africana Studies.
