In 2018, Xin W. was Co-founder of Wandtec Optronics and a Consultant and Board Advisor for self-employed. From 2016 to 2018, Xin W. was the Chief Technology Officer & GM, High-speed Interconnects Solution for Genesis Connected Solutions. From 2015 to 2016, Xin W. was the General Manager, Enterprise Business Unit North America for Luxshare Precision Industry Co., Ltd. From 2014 to 2015, Xin W. was the Vice President of R&D for Lorom Cable & System Design. From 2010 to 2014, Xin W. was a Technical Advisor and SI Engineer for Molex. From 2008 to 2010, Xin W. was the Co-founder and Director for Nebula Networks. From 2004 to 2008, Xin W. was the Product Manager/Special Operations Engineer for ANSYS/Fluent Inc. and a Technical Staff Engineer for Etenna Corp.

Xin W. began their educational journey at Tsinghua University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) between 1991 and 1996. Following this, they earned a Master of Science (M.S) from the Chinese Academy of Sciences between 1996 and 1999. After that, Xin W. attended The Johns Hopkins University, where they received a Master of Civil Engineering (MCE) from 1999 to 2001. Subsequently, Xin W. pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) at the University of Maryland from 2001 to 2004. Lastly, they obtained a Certification in Entrepreneurship Executive Training from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business in 2009.
