Erica Mateo

Erica Mateo has a diverse work experience starting in 2008. Erica began as a Community Outreach Specialist & Administrative Support at Neighborhood Housing Services of New Orleans in April 2008 and later moved to Bard Prison Initiative as Research/Admin Support in August 2008. In 2011, they became a Programs Assistant at Community Solutions, Inc. Following that, they joined the Center for Justice Innovation in January 2012, working their way up from Case Manager to Director in different roles until April 2021. In 2019, Erica founded The Woke and Well Company, a wellness and lifestyle brand. Currently, they hold the position of Deputy Senior Director of Campaigns, Programs, and Research at Color Of Change since January 2021.

Erica Mateo attended Bard College from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained a degree in Anthropology.
