Anish Manrai has extensive experience in the sports and fitness industry. Anish started their career as a Tennis Professional at Santa Maria Del Monte School in Sydney, Australia in 2000. Anish then worked as a Tennis Specialist at Kenmont and Kenwood Camp in 2001. Anish further developed their tennis expertise as a Tennis Professional at Lincoln Racquet Club from 2001 to 2002.
In 2003, Anish joined Midtown Athletic Clubs as the Junior Tennis Director and Tournament Director, where they successfully grew the junior tennis program from 50 to over 200 participants. Anish later became the Assistant Director of Racquet Sports, overseeing training and operations for a club with indoor and outdoor courts. Anish then progressed to the role of Director of Racquet Sports, leading a team and increasing revenues and profitability.
Anish joined Columbia Association in 2013 as the General Manager, responsible for the overall management and development of the racquet sports and facility operations for multiple clubs. Anish implemented strategies to enhance the member, guest, and team member experience, resulting in increased revenues and profitability. Anish also led various initiatives to improve customer service, increase new member growth, and reduce expenses.
In 2016, Anish transitioned to the role of Assistant Director of Community Programs & Services at Columbia Association, where they supervised multiple divisions encompassing fitness clubs, pools, sports parks, and more. Anish managed day-to-day operations, developed strategic plans, and ensured a high-quality experience for over 52,000 members.
Throughout their career, Anish Manrai has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, financial management, program development, and customer service skills.
Anish Manrai has a diverse education history. Anish obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Business Management and Marketing from the University of Mumbai between the years 1996 and 1999. Following this, Anish pursued a Master's degree in International Business from the University of Sydney, specializing in International Business and Marketing, which they completed from 1999 to 2001.
In 2017 and 2018, Anish participated in the Leadership Premier program offered by Leadership Howard County. Although this program does not confer a specific degree, it provided him with valuable leadership training and development.
Later in 2020, Anish attended Florida Atlantic University's College of Business to earn a certificate in Hospitality & Tourism Management. This program, offered by the Faculty of Executive Education, focused on Hospitality Administration/Management.
In addition to their formal education, Anish has acquired several certifications. In 2014, they became an Eye Coach Trainer through the Billie Jean King Eye Coach institution. Anish also holds a certification as a Certified Tennis Professional from the United States Professional Tennis Association. Finally, they have been trained as a Mental Toughness Trainer at the Human Performance Institute.
