Kristin Canney Popek

Kristin Canney Popek has extensive experience in human resources, with various roles in a range of companies. Kristin is currently working as the Vice President of Talent at Columbia Care, a position they have held since August 2023. Prior to this, they were the Director of HR Business Partners at Columbia Care from July 2021 to July 2023. Before joining Columbia Care, Kristin worked at Marketing By Design LLC as a Human Resources Manager from 2016 to 2020. Kristin also had a contract role as a Human Resources Business Partner at Linedata from July 2016 to October 2016. Prior to that, they were a Human Resources Manager at Eduventures from 2015 to 2016 and at Marriott International from 2009 to 2015. Earlier in their career, Kristin worked at Residence Inn by Marriott, where they held the positions of Operations Manager (HR and Accounting) from 2005 to 2008 and Sales and Events Manager from 2003 to 2005.

Kristin Canney Popek holds a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Delaware. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications. In 2009, they received the PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. More recently, in June 2021, they earned the SHRM-CP (SHRM - Certified Professional) certification from SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management).
