Olivia Sun

Olivia Sun is a Graduate Research Assistant at Columbia College Chicago, where responsibilities include providing administrative and research support to faculty, along with producing marketing and curriculum materials. With extensive experience as a photographer, Olivia has worked freelance since 2018, covering a range of subjects including political and editorial content, weddings, and food. Notable previous roles include Staff Photographer at The Colorado Sun and Visual Journalist at The Des Moines Register, where Olivia specialized in visual storytelling across various themes. Additional positions held include Multimedia Intern at NPR, Photo Intern at China Daily, and Digital Media Producer at the University of Iowa Public Policy Center. Olivia holds a B.A. in Journalism & Mass Communication and Cinema from the University of Iowa and is currently pursuing an M.A. in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management at Columbia College Chicago.
