Ryan Smith

Ryan Smith is currently an Associate Professor of Instruction at Columbia College Chicago, where responsibilities include teaching and coordinating undergraduate and graduate courses in various business disciplines, as well as serving on multiple committees. Ryan also co-directs graduate programs focusing on arts, entertainment, and entrepreneurship. Previous academic roles include Assistant Professor of Instruction and Adjunct Faculty, where Ryan contributed to curriculum development and student engagement. Beyond academia, Ryan is a co-owner of Smithshow, LLC, and formerly held the position of Director of Marketing for the Chicago Sinfonietta, driving marketing initiatives that resulted in significant audience growth and organizational rebranding. Ryan's early career involved various roles in web management, event coordination, and media production. Ryan holds a Master of Arts in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management from Columbia College Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies and Social Psychology from Western Michigan University.
