Will Specht

Will Specht is a motivated leader and engineer currently serving as Co President of the Columbia Space Initiative, overseeing Columbia's largest engineering club and its diverse projects, including successful competition teams in various fields. Will has experience as a Mechanical Engineer on initiatives like the Aquatic Autonomous System, which focuses on environmental monitoring in New York's water bodies, and the NASA MicroG-NEXT challenge. In addition, Will has contributed to educational outreach, guiding programs for underserved middle school students. Academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Columbia Engineering and prior experience at the Farber Lab and Massachusetts General Hospital, which involved significant research and operational responsibilities.
