Michael Richardson is the Vice President of Columbia Brand Apparel Merchandising & Design at Columbia Sportswear. Michael has over 25 years of experience in the retail industry, including positions at Gap Inc. and Banana Republic.

Richardson began their career at Gap Inc. in 1993 as a Divisional Merchandise Manager. Michael held various positions within the company over the next 15 years, including Vice President of GAP Franchise Product and Vice President of Franchise Product. In 2009, they left Gap Inc. to become an Independent Retail Consultant, before joining Columbia Sportswear in 2016.

At Columbia Sportswear, Richardson is responsible for ensuring the execution of the company’s global product vision throughout all franchise owned markets. Michael oversees franchise partner businesses across 45 countries and has been instrumental in maximizing franchise partner growth through exceptional assortment and investment strategies.
