Lina Maria Alfonso

Lina Maria Alfonso, MHA, currently serves as the Assistant Director of Business Process Operations in the Department of Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, a position held since July 2020. In addition, Lina holds several leadership roles within employee resource groups focused on women's and LatinX initiatives and has contributed to administrative support related to diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization. An engaged member of the Rutgers University Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, Lina has served as Chair of the Rutgers MHA Alumni Association and is currently an Advisory Board Member for the Rutgers Health Administration Advisory Board. Previous experience includes roles in clinical information management, administrative residency, and clinical research, complemented by academic credentials including a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Public Health.
