Rachel D.K. Finney, CAWA has had a diverse work experience. Rachel D.K. currently holds the position of Chief Advantageist at The Advantageist since January 2021. Prior to this, they served as CEO at Columbus Humane from June 2012. Rachel D.K. was also the Chief Operating Officer at Columbus Humane from July 2008 until June 2012. Before joining Columbus Humane, Rachel was the Executive Director at Union County Humane Society from November 2003 to June 2008. Rachel D.K. began their career as the Vice President of Programs at Junior Achievement of Central Ohio, a position they held from 2001 to 2003.

Rachel D.K. Finney, CAWA, completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Nonprofit Management & Political Science at Indiana University Bloomington from 1997 to 2001. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Certified Animal Welfare Administrator (CAWA) certification from The Association for Animal Welfare Advancement in November 2006. Additionally, Rachel received a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021. Most recently, in September 2022, they became CARE REDI Certified at the Bronze Level through C.A.R.E Companions and Animals for Reform and Equity.
