Pieter Potgieter

Pieter Potgieter is an experienced Production Manager at Columbus Stainless (Pty) Ltd since January 2003, currently overseeing the Cold Mills and Grinding Line, managing a team of 80 personnel. Pieter has been involved in significant projects including the commissioning of a Vertical Bright annealing plant in the USA and the establishment of recruitment and training programs for Junior Production Managers. Prior roles at Columbus Stainless include Process Technician and Engineer for Cold Process Lines, where key initiatives included the implementation of a Scrap Management System and lead time reduction strategies. Pieter's career began as a Maintenance Engineer at Conran Restaurants and includes earlier experience as Production Shift Manager for Finishing Products. Pieter holds a Baccalaureus Technologiae in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Johannesburg and an NQF Level 6 Certificate in Business Management.
