Emeline Atwood has a diverse work experience. Emeline began their professional career in 2015 as a Lead Teacher at Bridge Boston Charter School, where they taught a 15-student kindergarten class designed to prevent summer learning loss, leading field trips, designing and implementing lessons in math and literacy, and tailoring teaching to students with specific learning needs. In the same year, they also began working at Harvard University Public Affairs & Communications as a Harvard Information Center, where they organized and staffed all tours each week, directed campus questions, and partnered with the University Marshall’s Office to welcome high profile guests to campus. In 2016, they became the Fiction Editor at The Harvard Advocate. In 2017, they took on the role of Teaching Assistant at Northfield Mount Hermon. In 2018, they became the Sheldon Traveling Fellow in Writing at Harvard University. In 2019, they began their role as the Michener Fellow in Fiction and Poetry Writing at The University of Texas at Austin. In 2021, they took on two roles: Yoga Instructor at CorePower Yoga and PADI Master Dive Instructor (MSDT) at B&B Scuba. Her current role is Content Marketing Manager at Column, which they began in 2022.
Emeline Atwood attended Milton Academy before going on to Harvard University, where they earned a Bachelor's degree, Summa Cum Laude in English in 2018. In 2016, they also attended the School of International Training for Peace and Conflict, Genocide Studies. In 2019, they started a Master of Fine Arts - MFA in Creative Writing at The University of Texas at Austin, which they are currently pursuing. In addition to their academic qualifications, they hold certifications as a Yoga Instructor Certification - Level I from Maui Yoga Shala (2021), Emergency First Aid/CPR Instructor & Care for children w/ AED (Infant/Child/Adult) from Emergency First Response (2019), and PADI Dive Instructor, Master Scuba Dive Trainer from PADI (2019).
