Theressa Engel

Theressa Engel has a diverse and extensive background in education, with over 15 years of experience in various roles within the Comal Independent School District and New Braunfels Independent School District. Currently serving as Principal at Comal ISD since March 2016, Theressa has also held positions as Assistant Principal and Curriculum Instructional Coach. Previously, Theressa was an Educator focusing on Gifted/Talented programs and teaching grades 4 and 5 in Math and Science at NBISD, where recognition included Teacher of the Year for 2014-2015. Other notable experience includes working as a Gifted/Talented Teacher and Math Department Chairperson at NEISD. Theressa Engel holds multiple degrees, including a Master’s in Elementary Mathematics Education from Texas State University and a BS in Applied Learning and Development from The University of Texas at Austin, along with a Principal Certification from Lamar University.
