David Clopton

David Clopton started their work experience in 2000 at CMC Steel Group as a Staff Accountant. David then had various roles at CMC, including Branch Controller, Manager of Planning & Analysis, Manager of Financial Reporting, Manager of Accounting-West Fabrication, Director of Business Analysis, and Special Projects Lead. David worked at Cartamundi USA, Inc. as a Divisional CFO from 2017 to 2018. David then joined Guardiar in 2018 as the Head Of Accounting, where they managed the internal financial reporting function for a €100M international business unit and led finance considerations for IT-related projects. In 2021, they worked at Venture Metals as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. David also worked at CMC from 2021 onwards, first as the Director of Procure to Pay and later as the Director of Procure to Pay and Master Data Management.

David Clopton attended Texas Lutheran University from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on Business and Communication Studies. In 2004, they also obtained a certification as a Certified Management Accountant from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).
