Ed Nestor has over three decades of law enforcement experience, currently serving as a Police Captain and Commander of the Division of Police Operations at the Chesterfield, Missouri Police Department since May 1989. Nestor also acts as the Chief of Police in the Chief's absence. In addition to police work, Nestor has been a Team Leader and Assessor for CALEA since 2006, contributing to the accreditation of public safety agencies. Musically inclined, Nestor has been the Lead Singer for The Dog's Breakfast, a St. Louis Rock n Roll and Blues Band, since January 2014. Nestor holds a Master of Arts in Computer Data Management and Public Administration from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, along with other education credentials. Previous roles include serving as an Executive Board Member for the St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf and as an Adjunct Professor in Criminology & Criminal Justice at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis. Prior to Chesterfield, Nestor was a Police Sergeant at the University City Police Department from 1979 to 1989.
