LJ Roscoe has extensive experience in law enforcement and leadership positions. Currently serving as Chief of Police at Goose Creek Police Department since January 2019 and as a CALEA Auditor since January 2022, LJ also has a background as a Police Officer at Georgia World Congress Center Authority from July 2018 to January 2019. Prior to these roles, LJ worked as a Consultant with the American Correctional Association from January 2012 to January 2019, conducting audits of jails and training academies across the United States. Retired from the DeKalb Sheriff's Office after nearly 28 years, serving as Major and Field Division Commander, responsibilities included overseeing various specialized units. LJ holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration and Management from Columbia Southern University and advanced degrees in Organizational Leadership and the School of Police Staff and Command from Waldorf University and Northwestern University, respectively.
