Nirmala Singh

Nirmala Singh is a seasoned consultant currently working at Common Impact since October 2022. Previously, Nirmala served as a Founding Board Member for South Queens Women's March from January 2020 to May 2023 and worked as the Community Programs Manager at the Rockaway Initiative for Sustainability & Equity from August 2021 to October 2022. Nirmala held the role of LeadNext Fellow at The Asia Foundation from January 2022 to August 2022 and was the Senior National Service Program Coordinator at the NYC Office of the Mayor from August 2018 to August 2021. Earlier experiences include serving as a Program Associate at The New York Immigration Coalition from September 2017 to August 2018 and as a Global Ambassador for the MSMC Office of International Program in early 2017. Nirmala also interned as a Senior Congressional Intern at the U.S. House of Representatives from September 2015 to May 2017 and worked as a Session Assistant at the New York State Assembly from January 2016 to June 2016. Nirmala's educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Political Science from Mount Saint Mary College and studies at East China Normal University.
