Kara Pipoli Pacos

Kara Pipoli Pacos is an accomplished education leader with extensive experience in leadership roles within prominent organizations. Currently serving as Chief People Officer at CommonLit since July 2018, Kara has also held positions such as Chief of Staff, Director of Program & Partnerships, and Director of Instructional Support at the same organization. Prior experience includes serving as Managing Director of Personalized Learning and Director of Culture of Achievement at Teach For America from July 2014 to July 2018, and Assistant Principal for Grades 6-8 at Friendship Public Charter School from July 2012 to June 2014. Additionally, Kara was a Resident Principal Intern at Excel Academy Charter School and earned a Master of Education in School Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education. Academic credentials also include a Master's of Teaching in Secondary Social Studies from American University and a BA in Sociology & Women's and Gender Studies from the College of the Holy Cross.
