Carmelo Acosta

Carmelo Acosta has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Carmelo most recently worked at CommonShare as a Senior Software Engineer since April 2023. Prior to that, they were employed at StreamSets Inc. as a Senior Software Engineering and worked from November 2022 to February 2023. Before that, they worked at Satellogic as a Senior Software Engineer from December 2020 to September 2022. Carmelo also worked at various other companies, including Yoga Solo, SMADEX, Vintra, Sage, Telefónica, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and Manchester University, in roles such as Senior Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineering, Research Assistant, and CDN Performance Engineer. Carmelo Acosta's education history starts in 1996 when they enrolled at the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Carmelo obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the university, completing their studies in 1999. Following this, they pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university between 1999 and 2001. Acosta continued their academic journey by enrolling at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2002, where they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science in 2009.
