Alex Wright

Alex Wright began their career in the field of philanthropy and fundraising at San Jose State University, where they served as the Director of Development for the College of Social Science from 1999 to 2007. In 2007, they were promoted to Associate Vice President of University Advancement, and held this position until 2011.

In 2011, Wright left San Jose State University to join Dignity Health as the Interim Chief Philanthropy Officer for the Dignity Health Foundation. The Dignity Health Foundation was founded in 2013 and focuses on addressing social determinants to health and health equity in the communities they serve. As Interim Chief Philanthropy Officer, Wright worked closely with the foundation's 31-foundation network to enhance fundraising activity across the system.

Wright left Dignity Health in 2020 and is currently the System Manager for Strategic Innovation and Communication at CommonSpirit.

Alex Wright has a MA in Higher Education Leadership & Student Personnel from Kent State University, a BA in Music (Low Brass Specialist), Music Education (K-12) from Bluffton University, and a Minor in Peace Studies from Ulster University. They also have certification from CFRE International as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).

Their manager is Alex Kwak, System Director, Communication and Engagement. Alex Wright works with Allison Huebner - System Manager, Annual Support, Karrie Swanson - System Brand Specialist.
