Dan Henderson

Vice President, Clinical Redesign at Commonwealth Care Alliance

Dan Henderson has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Dan is currently working as the Vice President of Clinical Redesign at Commonwealth Care Alliance, where they contribute to the development of a new focused care management model. Prior to this, Dan served as the Chief Medical Officer at instED LLC, where they led the clinical strategy and oversaw a team of physicians. Dan also worked as an Urgent Care Physician at Atrius Health and as a Senior Medical Director of Virtual Care at Commonwealth Care Alliance. Dan has also been involved in research and education, working as a Core Faculty Member at Ariadne Labs and as an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dan has experience in coaching and leading improvement projects, having directed the Clinical Process Improvement Leadership Program at Mass General Brigham. Earlier in their career, Dan worked as a Primary Care Physician and Clinical Innovation Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dan also served as a Patient Safety and Quality Officer and Internal Medicine Resident at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, and as a Research Intern at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Dan Henderson earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry from Trinity College-Hartford in 2004. Dan then pursued their medical education at The University of Connecticut Health Center, where they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree between 2006 and 2012. Later, in 2011, they attended Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where they earned a Master of Public Health degree in Health Policy and Management. Additionally, Dan Henderson obtained their license as a physician from the New York State Office of the Professions in 2012. Dan also holds certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA) from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association.
