John McLafferty

John McLafferty has extensive experience in the field of employment relations and human resources. John currently serves as the Vice President of Employee Relations at Commonwealth Care Alliance, where they lead a team and provides guidance on employment matters, policies, and procedures. Prior to this role, John worked as the Equal Employment Opportunity Officer for the Massachusetts House of Representatives, where they were responsible for implementing equal employment policies and investigating complaints. John also has a background as a trial attorney, serving as a Partner at Day Pitney LLP, where they advised employers on employment issues and represented them in court. Earlier in their career, John worked at Travelers as a Law Clerk and a Human Resources Generalist, where they provided strategic HR direction and counsel to management.

John McLafferty completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communication at the University at Albany, SUNY from 1983 to 1986. John then pursued a Doctor of Law - JD degree at Suffolk University Law School from 1992 to 1996.
