Hon. Michael C. Fountain

Hon. Michael C. Fountain has held various roles throughout their career. Hon. Michael C. currently serves as the Consul General Designate at the Consulate of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas since September 2023. Prior to this, they were the Honorary Consul at the Honorary Consulate of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas since March 2014.

In terms of their professional experience, Fountain worked at ComEd from January 2017 to March 2020, serving as the Director Of External Affairs, Southern Region, and later as the Vice President, Legislative Affairs. Before that, they worked as a Lobbyist at Capitol F Consulting, LLC from March 2012 to January 2017.

Fountain also held positions at the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority as the Senior Director of Government Relations from February 2008 to February 2012, at the Illinois Commerce Commission as the Director of the Consumer Services Division from June 2005 to February 2008, at SBC (AT&T) Illinois as the Director of Government Relations/External Affairs from May 2000 to May 2005, and at the Chicago Transit Authority as the Manager of Government and Community Relations from January 1998 to May 2000.

From 1986 to 1991, Hon. Michael C. Fountain pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communication from Loyola University Chicago.
