Jp Muncks

JP Muncks currently serves as the Manager of R&D Test Engineering at Commonwealth Fusion Systems, overseeing the operational planning and software definition for the Cryostat test stand crucial for high temperature superconductor testing. Prior to this role, JP held several positions within the company, progressively taking on responsibilities related to magnet testing and engineering. Previously, JP worked at Virgin Orbit as the Lead Engineer for Launch Operations, where coordination during the inaugural orbital launch attempt was key. JP’s early experience includes roles at Virgin Galactic and leading the Penn State Lunar Lion team in the Google Lunar XPRIZE, demonstrating strong leadership and technical expertise across various aerospace projects. JP holds a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia.
