Shane Farley

Shane Farley is a Senior Systems Engineer at Commonwealth Fusion Systems since August 2024. Previously, Shane served as a Staff Systems Engineer at Xwing, where responsibilities included implementing use cases and requirements for an uncrewed aircraft platform, utilizing a fail-fast approach and a blend of waterfall and Agile methodologies. Shane's background also includes experience as a Sr. Systems Engineer & Technical Lead at Moog Inc., managing projects related to hydraulic power units and contributing to qualification testing for major clients such as Airbus and Gulfstream. Earlier roles include positions as a Teaching Assistant in the Physics Department at Loyola Marymount University, a Production Intern at Combilift, and a Resident Advisor at Loyola Marymount University. Shane holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics with a minor in Applied Mathematics from Loyola Marymount University.
