Chuck Gilstrap began their career in 1992 as a Tax Manager at Spectravision, Inc. Chuck then moved to Dal-Tile International, Inc. in 1995 where they also served as a Tax Manager. In 1999, they were promoted to Director of Tax at Dal-Tile and held that position until 2003 when they left to join Dresser, Inc. as their Director of Tax. Chuck Gilstrap was with Dresser, Inc. from 2003 until 2011 when they left to join GE as their Director of Tax. In 2013, they joined Accudyne Industries as their Vice President of Tax and Treasury and held that position until 2016. From January 2011 to May 2012, Justin Choi was the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at [Trustwave](/org/trustwave). Justin was also the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at Andrew Corporation from March 2006 to December 2007. From September 2000 to February 2006, they served as the Vice President - Law at Avaya Inc. Their earliest position was as Corporate Counsel at Alcatel-Lucent from July 1997 to August 2000. Laurie Oracion is the SVP, Chief Accounting Officer at [CommScope](/org/commscope). Laurie has over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance. Laurie began their career at [Deloitte](/org/deloitte) in May 1999 as an Assurance and Advisory Senior. Laurie then joined [CommScope](/org/commscope) in May 2002 as a Senior Financial Analyst. Laurie was promoted to Director of Accounting in July 2008 and held this position until May 2012 when they were promoted to their current role.

Derrick A. Roman became a member of our Board of Directors in 2021 and serves as a member of our Audit Committee. Prior to joining [CommScope](/org/commscope), Mr. Roman served as an audit, consulting and senior client relationship partner for the international accounting and consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) from 1985 until his retirement as a Senior Partner in 2020.  His industry experience included the manufacturing, industrial products, and energy sectors. As an external audit partner/practitioner, Derrick led independent financial statement audits of publicly traded and privately held enterprises.  He has extensive experience in financial accounting, SEC reporting, internal controls, mergers and acquisitions. debt and equity offerings, initial public and secondary offerings, asset-backed financings, and the implementation of accounting and auditing standards.  As an advisory partner, Derrick focused on evaluating and improving internal control, enterprise risk management, internal auditing, and compliance programs for a diverse group of publicly traded companies.  Derrick led his PwC teams and clients through digital transformation, automation, and shared delivery center initiatives.  He also held several significant governance, line of business, diversity and inclusion and corporate responsibility leadership roles at PwC. His governance experience includes serving on PwC’s CEO Nominating Committee and its Foundation board.   Derrick is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Michigan and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc., where he is a member of its Corporate Advisory Board.

Mr. Lorentzen was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in November 2021. Prior to that, he was senior vice president and chief transformation officer since December 2020. Before that, he was chief financial officer of Accudyne Industries from 2017 to 2020.

From 2014 to 2017, Mr. Lorentzen was chief financial officer and executive vice president of Express Energy Service. Earlier, Mr. Lorentzen held multiples roles with [Constellium](/org/constellium), including CEO [Constellium](/org/constellium) Ravenswood from 2011 to 2014.

Throughout his career, Mr. Lorentzen has held numerous financial and managerial roles with companies such as Noranda Aluminum, Berry Plastics/Covalence Specialty Materials, Hexion Specialty Chemical, Inc., Borden Chemical, Inc., Dow Chemical, Sanachem, Hampshire Chemical Corp. and W.R. Grace.

Farid Firouzbakht is senior vice president and segment leader of the Outdoor Wireless Networks business at [CommScope](/org/commscope). He’s responsible for overall vision and strategy of the macro and metro cell solutions—including base station antennas, RF filters, tower connectivity, microwave antennas, metro cell and cabinets/steel, accessories, spectrum access system, as well as [Comsearch](/org/comsearch) spectrum management products and services.

Previously Mr. Firouzbakht was senior vice president and general manager of RF products for [CommScope](/org/commscope) Mobility Solutions, where he was responsible for a comprehensive portfolio of wireless network solutions.

Mr. Firouzbakht holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Joe Chow is senior vice president and segment leader of the Home Networks business at [CommScope](/org/commscope). He’s responsible for its overall vision and strategy and for extending [CommScope](/org/commscope)’s legacy of leadership in transforming the connected experience for millions of consumers around the world. The Home Networks business comprises a broad portfolio of connected home solutions, including gigabit broadband devices, Wi-Fi 6 home networking technology, and advanced video set-tops and whole-home hubs.

Mr. Chow joined [CommScope](/org/commscope) following a stint at Quantenna, where he served as senior vice president of product and program management, overseeing the end-to-end delivery of advanced Wi-Fi chipsets to the world’s leading service providers.

Boris Kokotovic is senior vice president of Quality for [CommScope](/org/commscope), leading a global quality team focused on the execution of quality strategies across all business segments. By working closely with operations and supply chain partners, his team strives for excellence in product quality and customer satisfaction.

Boris joined [CommScope](/org/commscope) in 2017 after more than 22 years in the automotive industry where he held leadership positions at [Faurecia](/org/faurecia-sa) and [General Motors](/org/general-motors).

Boris earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan where he also completed his master’s degree in business administration.

Mr. Drendel has been our Chairman of the Board since 2011. He served as our Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer from 1976 until 2011. Mr. Drendel is a director of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association, the principal trade association of the cable industry in the United States, and was inducted into the Cable Television Hall of Fame in 2002. Mr. Drendel served on the board of directors of Tyco International, Ltd., which was acquired by Johnson Controls International, from 2012 to September 2016. He served as a director of General Instrument Corporation and its predecessors/successors from 1987 to 2000, as a director of Sprint Nextel Corporation from 2005 to 2008 and as a director of Nextel Communications, Inc. from 1997 to 2005.

Markus Ogurek is senior vice president and president of the Networking, Intelligent Cellular and Security Solutions business at CommScope. He is responsible for the development and growth of CommScope’s networking, indoor cellular and security products and applications that align to the company’s strategic transformation program.

Prior to joining CommScope, Mr. Ogurek was vice president of enterprise sales growth for Cisco Systems. Prior to that Mr. Ogurek was chief executive officer and chief revenue officer of IOV42 based in Switzerland. Mr. Ogurek spent twenty years at Hewlett Packard Enterprises in various sales, operational and chief technology roles before becoming vice president of global industry sales and solutions.

Mr. Ogurek holds a bachelor’s degree in robotics and telecommunication from Westphalian University of Applied Science in Germany and a master’s degree in program management from George Washington University.

Ric Johnsen is senior vice president and president of the Connectivity and Cable Solutions business at CommScope. Mr. Johnsen was appointed Leader of the Connectivity and Cable Solutions Segment in July of 2021. Prior to becoming the Connectivity and Cable Solutions Segment Leader, Mr. Johnsen successfully led the Network Cable and Connectivity business for many years. Before joining CommScope, Ric’s experiences spanned across numerous businesses and regions, including serving as president and CEO of Alloptic and Vice President of Product Management and Engineering at OFS. He served in a number of positions at Alcatel including Vice President for Business Development for Europe and Asia – Optical Fiber and Fiber Cable..

Ric received a Bachelor of Science degree in general engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He also has a Master of Science degree in communications engineering from the United States Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.

Prior to joining [CommScope](/org/commscope), Ms. Clark was employed by Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Ms. Clark is a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina.

Charles "Chuck" L. Treadway is president and chief executive officer of CommScope, a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communications networks. He was named to the company’s top position in 2020. He also serves as a member of the company’s board of directors. Mr. Treadway, age 54, most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Accudyne Industries (a global provider of precision-engineered, process-critical and technologically advanced pumps and flow control equipment, systems and high efficiency industrial compressors) from 2016 to 2020. Prior to joining Accudyne Industries, Mr. Treadway held various leadership positions at Thomas & Betts Corporation (a global leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of essential components used to manage the connection, distribution, transmission and reliability of electrical power in industrial, construction and utility applications), including President and Chief Executive Officer from 2012 to 2016, President and Chief Operating Officer from 2011 to 2012 and Group President of Electrical from 2009 to 2011. He previously served in several management and executive positions at Schneider Electric S.A., Prettl International, Inc. and Yale Security, Inc.



Charles L. Treadway

Mr. Carlson became Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer in November 2020. He previously served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Sullair (a premier global industrial air compressor manufacturer), a Hitachi Group Company, from 2016 to 2020. Mr. Carlson also served as Chairman of the Board of the China-based IHI-Sullair joint venture during that time. From 2001 to 2016, Mr. Carlson held varying leadership positions including, President of North America at Southwire Company (a global leader in copper rod production and design/manufacturing and sales of utility, OEM and electrical wire and cable). 

Prior to that, Mr. Carlson served as Sector CEO of Yale Security Group from 1999 to 2000. From 1991 until 1998, Mr. Carlson held multiple roles with Schneider Electric including Vice President of the Motor Control Division, Vice President of the Industrial Segment and Vice President of Marketing. He began his career with Square D Company, which was acquired by Schneider Electric in 1991, in 1979 and held various roles in sales and product management until 1998.

Mr. Watts joined our Board of Directors in 2011, became our Lead Independent Director in November 2017 and is a member of our Compensation Committee and our Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. He is a private investor and serves as a Senior Advisor to the Carlyle Group, where he was a partner until 2017. Mr. Watts established Carlyle’s Technology Buyout business in 2004 and led it until 2014. Prior to joining Carlyle in 2000, Mr. Watts was a Managing Director in the M&A group of First Union Securities, Inc. which he joined when it acquired Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co., where he was a principal. Prior to beginning his business career, Mr. Watts served eight years as a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force. Fiona Nolan is chief marketing officer for [CommScope](/org/commscope), a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communications networks. In this role, she leads the global marketing organization in building [CommScope](/org/commscope)’s brand as the world leader in telecommunications infrastructure, products, and solutions. She is also responsible for the company’s overall communications strategy.

Ms. Nolan has over 15 years of experience in leadership marketing roles at [CommScope](/org/commscope), with progressively increasing responsibility. Previously, she served as the company’s senior vice president of marketing. She joined [CommScope](/org/commscope) from Lucent/Avaya, where she was director of marketing in EMEA.

Ms. Nolan holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from University College Dublin and is a qualified chartered member of the UK Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Institute of Directors. ExecRank named Ms. Nolan a “Top Chief Marketing Officer” in 2015.

Ms. Chan, has been a Managing Partner at VectoIQ, LLC, a consulting firm focused on Smart transportation products and services, since 2015. From 2012 to 2015, Ms. Chan served as President, Global Connected Consumer & OnStar Service, at General Motors Company. From 2009 to 2012, Ms. Chan served as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Enterprise Mobility Solutions & Services, at Dell Inc. From 2000 to 2009, Ms. Chan held various senior vice president positions at Alcatel-Lucent and Lucent Technologies, including the positions of Executive Vice President, President of 4G/LTE Wireless Networks and Executive Vice President, President of Global Wireless Networks. Prior to Alcatel-Lucent/Lucent Technologies, Ms. Chan worked at AT&T Network Systems/Lucent Technologies, from 1985 to 2000, in various management positions.
