N. Axel Hawkins

Axel Hawkins currently serves as the Student Government President at Georgia College & State University, where previous roles included Community Advisor, Vice President, Treasurer, and Senator, focusing on student representation and budget management. In addition to leadership in student government, Axel is a Next Gen Lead Activist with the Communications Workers of America, advocating for public, healthcare, and education workers. Past experiences also include interning for Senator Raphael Warnock, serving as Chief of Staff Intern for the City of Atlanta, and organizing community efforts against housing crises. Axel's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in History with a Political Science minor, set to graduate in May 2025.
