Carrie MacGillivray

Carrie MacGillivray currently serves as an Executive in Residence at Communitech since October 2025. Previously, Carrie was the Managing Director of Reverse Engineering & Sustainability at TechInsights from June 2022 to October 2025, overseeing a technical team responsible for significant annual recurring revenue. Carrie's extensive experience at IDC from March 2007 to June 2022 included roles such as Group Vice President & General Manager of Worldwide Telecom and Mobility Research, where consistent overplan financial results were achieved. Other roles at IDC involved leadership in IoT and mobility research, successful development of new product ideas, and management of high-performing teams. Prior experiences also include positions at Yankee Group, Nortel, DMR Consulting, and CIBC. Carrie holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from Queen's University.
