Manoma Sirisena, CPA has a strong work experience in the field of finance and accounting. Manoma started their career as a Staff Accountant at Perkins & Lund in 1999 and worked there until 2000. Manoma then joined McQuadeBrennan, LLP as a Senior Staff Accountant from 2000 to 2003. Afterward, they joined Defenders of Wildlife as an Accounting Manager and was subsequently promoted to Controller from 2003 to 2007. During this time, they managed the accounting department, ensured strong internal controls, and handled the organization's annual audit and budget preparation. In 2007, Manoma became the Controller at Communities In Schools National Office, and later was promoted to the role of Vice President, Finance in 2015. As the Vice President, they led a high-performing team and was responsible for all finance functions, grants management, and contract administration. Manoma played a key role in designing and implementing financial strategies, policies, and procedures, ensuring financial control and compliance. Manoma also focused on enhancing operational efficiency, transitioning finance functions to the cloud, and implementing collaboration tools to enhance collaboration between departments. In 2014, Manoma earned the Certified in Federal Grants Management certification from Management Concepts Inc. Manoma further expanded their knowledge by completing the Leadership Development Program offered by the Center for Creative Leadership in 2015. In 2016, they obtained the Georgetown Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate Program from Georgetown University, as well as the Not-for-Profit Certificate from the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants.
