Eric is currently employed at Community Choice Financial Family of Brands, where they have held several roles since joining in 2018. Eric is currently serving as the SVP, Head of Credit Risk. Prior to this, they held the position of VP, Credit Risk Strategy & Data Science, Sr Director of Underwriting & Portfolio Management, and Director of Underwriting.
Before joining Community Choice Financial, Eric worked at Hilltop Holdings as Vice President, Quantitative Analytics and Assistant Vice President, Model Risk Management from 2016 to 2018.
Eric also worked at Umpqua Bank as a Model Risk Analyst from 2015 to 2016.
Eric's earlier experience includes positions at Maxim Integrated as a Senior Corporate Financial Analyst and Corporate Financial Analyst from 2012 to 2015.
Eric started their career at S&P Global Ratings as a Credit Research Associate from 2007 to 2008.
Eric Berger, CFA, holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics & Math from the University of California, Berkeley. Eric later pursued a Masters degree in Financial Engineering from the Drucker School of Management, which they completed between 2010 and 2012. Their secondary education took place at Beverly Hills High School. Additionally, Eric Berger is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), certified by the CFA Institute.
