Funding Manager - at The National Lottery Community Fund

Beth Plant has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Beth most recently worked as a Funding Manager for The National Lottery Community Fund since 2018. Prior to that, they served as a Policy and Learning Manager at Big Lottery Fund from 2015 to 2018.

Beth also has experience managing policy and influence as the Manager of Policy and Influence at Macc - Manchester's Voluntary and Community Sector Support Organisation from 2013 to 2015. Beth successfully established a new policy, influence, and grant management team and developed various forums, summits, and assemblies to increase influence and quality of practice. Beth also played a critical role in developing relationships with key decision-makers in the public sector and sat on various partnership boards.

Earlier in their career, Beth worked as an Associate Lecturer at Edge Hill University from 2011 to 2014 and ran their own consultancy, Beth Plant Training and Consultancy, from 2011 to 2014. Beth also held the position of Interim Manager at Bury Local Involvement Network from 2012 to 2013.

Beth's work experience also includes serving as a Development Manager at Greater Manchester Youth Network from 2008 to 2011 and as a Development Worker/Volunteer Manager at Cavendish Cancer Care from 2006 to 2008.

Beth Plant began their education at the University of Liverpool in 1998, obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Politics and Latin American Studies in 2001. Beth then pursued further studies at The University of Manchester from 2002 to 2003, where they completed a Master's Degree in International Relations with a research emphasis. In 2011, Beth enrolled in the Train the Trainer program at W.E.A. and is currently pursuing the P.T.L.L.S. degree in that field.
