Holly Mackay has a diverse work experience starting from 2005. Holly began as a Duty Manager at The Office, where they were responsible for supervising operations and managing staff. Holly then moved on to City Wharf Apartments Ltd as a General Manager, where they optimized business processes and managed a team. In 2013, they joined Muehlhan Group as an HR Administrator, handling all aspects of the employee lifecycle. Holly was later promoted to the role of HR Advisor, where they provided a full HR Generalist service and led restructures and redundancy processes. In 2017, they joined Community Integrated Care as an HR Advisor, providing regional support and assisting with organizational change. Holly later took on the role of HR Business Partner (Projects), contributing to the development and implementation of the People Strategy and leading and managing a team. Their most recent role at Community Integrated Care is as the Head of Employee Relations and Senior People Business Partner (Support Services) (Mat leave cover), where they transformed the ER support for the charity. In 2023, they became the Head of People - Support Services and Projects.

Holly Mackay obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in Law from the University of Aberdeen, graduating in 2007. Holly then attended Chrysos from 2014 to 2016, where they obtained a Diploma in Human Resources Management. Prior to their university education, they attended Turriff Academy from 1998 to 2003. In 2021, they completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Project Management from the University of Aberdeen. Additionally, they hold certifications including Accredited Practitioner from TTI Success Insights in 2019 and a Diploma in Human Resources Management from CIPD in 2016. Holly also completed courses in Leadership Foundations: Leadership Styles and Models and Managing Organizational Change for Managers from LinkedIn in 2019.
