Harlton Hemphill has held various roles in the banking industry. Harlton started their career at Frost National Bank in 1990 as a Senior Analyst/Credit Analyst, where they called on customers to assess credit risks and produced credit reports. Harlton later became the Credit Department Manager, responsible for hiring and training credit analysts. In 2000, Hemphill became the SVP International Lending at Frost National Bank, generating and managing a loan portfolio exceeding $100 million. Harlton then moved to Sterling Bank as the VP International Lending, focusing on global trade products and speaking at seminars. Hemphill continued their career at SouthWest Trade Services as the Director of the Texas Region, offering supply chain financing to companies. Harlton then joined Jefferson Bank as a Vice President and finally, they are currently serving as the Vice President of Commercial Lending at Community National Bank, specializing in commercial loans to oil and gas companies.
Harlton Hemphill earned a B.A in Economics from Baylor University, which they attended from 1985 to 1989. Harlton later pursued an M.B.A with a Finance Concentration at The University of Texas at Austin from 1989 to 1990. Harlton also holds certifications as a Certified Global Business Professional and as Credit Risk Certified from the Risk Management Association (RMA).
