Alton Smith III

Alton Smith III is a seasoned professional in child welfare and community outreach, currently serving as a Departmental Analyst for the State of Michigan since May 2015. In this role, Alton Smith III implements Child Welfare policy during CPS investigations, ensuring children's safety and ethical treatment of families. Alton Smith III has also held various positions within the Community Residence Corp., including Operations Support Coordinator, where responsibilities included overseeing daily operations and fostering relationships with community stakeholders to support the developmentally disabled. Additionally, Alton Smith III served as a member of the Board of Directors for Community Residence Corp. and was involved with the Agoge Men's Foundation for youth mentoring and community enrichment. Alton Smith III holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University.
