Polly Parsons is an experienced educator specializing in reading and special education. Since August 2015, Polly has served as a Reading Specialist at the Community School of Excellence, focusing on Hmong children in grades PreK to 4, with two years spent teaching 1st grade. Prior experience includes a role as a Special Education Teacher at Pryor Public Schools from August 2006 to December 2011, where Polly supported children's individual learning needs, managed IEP meetings, and developed lesson plans. Polly also taught core curriculum to 9th through 12th grade students as a Special Education Teacher at Catoosa Public Schools from September 2003 to July 2006. Polly holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) ABD in Educational, Instructional, and Curriculum Supervision from Grand Canyon University and a Master's degree in Reading Teacher Education from Northeastern State University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Arkansas Tech University.
