Mychal Cohen

Mychal Cohen is an experienced researcher and policy analyst with a strong background in urban housing and community development. Currently serving as an Associate at Community Science since December 2023, Mychal previously worked as a Research Manager at Houston in Action from October 2022 to November 2023, and as an Associate at Lafayette Square from May 2022 to September 2022. Prior roles include Research Associate at The Urban Institute, focusing on housing policies, and Policy and Development Associate at the National Housing Trust, where responsibilities included data analysis and creating materials for affordable housing initiatives. Mychal also completed a Graduate Fellowship at the National Housing Trust, a Graduate Internship at the Coalition for Nonprofit Housing and Economic Development, and has experience in administrative roles through positions at CFP Board, Palmer Legal Staffing, and Americorps National Civilian Community Corps. Educational credentials include a Master's of Public Policy from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's degree in Government from the University of Virginia.
