Brian Hillmer

Chief Culinary Officer at Community Servings

Brian Hillmer has a diverse and extensive work experience in the culinary field. Brian started as a Sous Chef at Biaggi's Ristorante Italiano in 2002 and worked there until 2007. Brian then joined Legal Sea Foods, where they first served as a Sous Chef from 2007 to 2009, and later as an Executive Chef from 2009 to 2015. After that, they worked as a Regional Culinary Director at Not Your Average Joe's from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, they joined Tavern in the Square Management Company, LLC as a Culinary Director, and later that same year, they became the Chief Culinary Officer at Community Servings.

Brian Hillmer has a Master's degree in Sustainability and Environmental Management from Harvard University. Brian also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English from Illinois State University. In addition to their degrees, Brian has a certification as a ServSafe Instructor/Proctor.

Community Servings is a not-for-profit food and nutrition program providing services throughout Massachusetts to individuals and families living with critical and chronic illnesses, like HIV/AIDS, Cancer, MS, Lou Gehrig’s disease and more than 30 others. We provide our clients, and their dependent families and caregivers with nutritious, made-from-scratch meals and send the message to those in greatest need that someone cares. Our goals are to help our clients maintain their health and dignity and preserve the integrity of their families through free, culturally appropriate, home-delivered meals, nutrition education, and other community programs.
