Tony Ffrench

Tony Ffrench has a breadth of experience in various technical roles. Tony began their career as a Research Engineer at Tellabs, where they developed adaptive network provisioning algorithms and obtained a US patent. Tony then joined DataPower as a Software Engineer, where they played an integral role in designing and implementing secure embedded bootloaders and appliance frameworks. Tony later joined IBM, where they held multiple positions, including Senior Software Engineer and Senior Technical Staff Member, specializing in API Gateway, API Management, and enterprise Node.js. Tony'sexpertise expanded as they became the Chief Architect for Hybrid Cloud Connectivity, API Connect, and DataPower, where they led overall technical strategies, facilitated partnerships and acquisitions, and developed open-source strategies. Currently, Tony is the Head of Cloud Engineering at Commure.

Tony Ffrench attended the University of Limerick from 1996 to 2000, where they received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering.
