Makoto Mizukawa

Makoto Mizukawa is a seasoned academic and expert in the field of electrical engineering and robotics, having served as Professor Emeritus and Dean of the College of Engineering at Shibaura Institute of Technology since April 2000. Mizukawa has contributed significantly to robotics research as Chief Technology Officer at the Human Robot Interaction System Design Institute and holds multiple leadership roles including Chair of the ORiN Forum and Expert for ISO TC299/WG6. Additionally, Mizukawa has extensive experience with Kawada Robotics as a Technical Advisor and as a University Member with OMG, focusing on the standardization of robotics software. Mizukawa's early career included significant research at NTT and an academic stint as a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University, complemented by advanced degrees in mechanical and robotics engineering from Waseda University.
