Leon D. graduated from the Order of the Red Banner of Labour Belarusian Polytechnic Institute and has a diploma in machine engineer with a specialization in Vehicles and tractors. In 2000, he graduated from the Combined Arms Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with a specialization in the Organization of production and repair of equipment and armament of armored force vehicles. In the period from 1985 to 1998, he served in the Belarusian Military District, the Western Group of Forces, as well as in the Moscow Military District in the positions of the Company Commander, Commander of a single maintenance and repair battalion, Chief of the Armored Division Service.
From 2008 to 2013, Leon Dmitrievich served for the Main Department of International Military Cooperation, the Defense Ministry of Russia as the head of the Russian military expert's group in the UAE.
At the end of 2013, he started his career in the Proekt-Technika Corporation, where less than two years had risen through the ranks from the Deputy General Designer to the Operational Director of the Standard Business Unit “Mobile systems”.
In February 2016, he was appointed the Operational Director of the Standard Business Unit “Mobile systems”.
