Sara Ewel

Sara Ewel is an experienced educator currently serving as a Science Multi-Classroom Leader and Biology Teacher at Compass Community Schools since July 2022. Ewel has a strong background in science education, having previously taught Anatomy & Physiology and AP Psychology at KIPP Memphis Collegiate High School while also holding the position of Science Department Chair. Prior to that, Ewel taught 8th Grade Science and served as a STEM Teacher at Lester Prep Middle School for two years. Ewel began the teaching career as a Biology Teacher at Melrose High School through the Memphis Teacher Residency program and also completed a camp internship as a Math Teacher. Ewel holds a Master of Education from Union University and a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience and Educational Studies from Rhodes College.
