Sara Musashe has extensive experience in the education field. Sara currently serves as the Director of English Language Learners at Compass Community Schools. Prior to this, Sara worked as an ESL Instructional Advisor at Shelby County Schools from 2019 to 2022. Sara also held the position of Adjunct Professor in Urban Education at Union University from 2018 to 2021. In addition, they worked as a Mentor Teacher at Memphis Teacher Residency from 2017 to 2019 and as an English as a Second Language Teacher at Shelby County Schools from 2012 to 2019. Earlier in their career, Sara taught Kindergarten at KIPP Memphis Collegiate Schools from 2014 to 2015. Sara began their career as a Corps Member at Teach For America in 2012, also working as a Special Events Manager for a brief period in 2013.
Sara Musashe completed their high school education at Horizon High School from the years 2004 to 2008. Sara then pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a focus on criminology at Valparaiso University from the years 2008 to 2012. Afterward, Sara furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University between the years 2016 to 2018.
