Shane Heffernan has a diverse work experience in the culinary industry. Shane started their career as a Commis Chef at Bloomfield House Hotel, Leisure Club, and Spa in 2009. Afterward, they worked as a Chef de Partie at Mullingar Park Hotel and Tankardstown House. In 2012, they returned to Mullingar Park Hotel as a Chef de Partie before moving on to become a Senior Chef de Partie at the same hotel in 2015. Continuing their career progression, Shane then served as a Junior Sous Chef and later as a Sous Chef at Trim Castle Hotel from 2016 to 2018. Shane then joined Compass Group Ireland, where they held various roles including Sous Chef and Head Chef. In 2022, Shane joined Artizan Food Co. as a Senior Sous Chef before returning to Compass Group Ireland in 2023 as a Head Chef.
Shane Heffernan completed their education in the field of food preparation and professional cooking. From 2010 to 2013, they attended Technological University Dublin, where they pursued a degree in Professional Cookery. During this time, they gained knowledge and skills related to food preparation, professional cooking, and kitchen assistance. Additionally, in February 2022, they obtained a certification in HACCP Level 2 from Elearn Safety.
