Jim Bednar

Jim Bednar is an experienced professional in project development and environmental review, currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Compass Infrastructure Group since July 2023. Previously, Jim Bednar was the Principal at Bednar Consulting, LLC, providing management and facilitation services in the highway and bridge sectors from January 2019 to July 2023. A former Director of the Transportation Business Unit at ms consultants, inc., Jim Bednar oversaw operations for over 100 employees across multiple states from October 2012 to January 2019. Prior to this, Jim Bednar held leadership roles at CH2M (now Jacobs) and Parsons Brinckerhoff (now WSP USA), focusing on NEPA-related practices and project development. Jim Bednar's career began at the Federal Highway Administration, where as Branch Chief, oversight included nationwide EIS reviews and NEPA policy development. Jim Bednar holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University, completed in 1978.
